WORKING FARM MANAGER

A position is coming available to manage a mixed stock farm of around 1,000 acres on Eday in the Orkney isles. This farm is privately owned and currently manages another farm of similar size. The stock comprise 75 breeding cows and 250 sheep. As it is on a small island, the candidate will need to have initiative. The role is close to autonomous with input to strategy and direction.

Experience of cattle and sheep essential.

Comfortable 3 bedroom house, garden and vehicle with the role.

Eday is one of the Outer Isles of Orkney, about 7 miles by 3 and with a population of around 120. There is a nurse, a primary school and a shop on the island.
