STOCKMAN/GENERAL FARM WORKER

The family Company of John M Lawrie is looking for on experienced Stockman/GFW to be part of our progressive team. We run a 200 head suckler herd, aiming at high fertility, with finishers, over 4 units in Angus.

THE ROLE Will INCLUDE:
■ General Husbandry of the cattle (feeding, bedding, calving, routine checks)
■ Fencing and maintenance of cattle housing
■ Support to our Arable Team at busy times

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
■ Experience in cattle and tractor work (using well-maintained modern machinery)
■ Current driving licence essential
■ Good recording keeping skills
■ Able to work on own initiative but also as part of our small team

There is accommodation available in a 3 bedroom, central heated cottage with log burner. This role could progress to herd manager.
