Shepherd – The Hopes, East Lothian

An enthusiastic and energetic shepherd is required for this 4,000 acre sporting/farming estate in the Lammermuir Hills. The farm is currently stocked with 600 BF ewes selling store, fat and cross bred lambs. There are additional BF wedders for tick control purposes.

The candidate must have excellent references, be a good communicator, have a track record of upland sheep farming and be comfortable with using computers to keep records. The applicant must enjoy working in a team and assist with spraying and other estate duties.

The package will include a three bedroom cottage, a salary commensurate with experience and other benefits. A quad bike and tractor are provided.
