SHEPHERD/SHEPHERDESS

A vacancy has arisen at Balnabroich Farm, Strathardle, Perthshire for an enthusiastic Shepherd/Shepherdess to take charge of a hill flock of 500 Blackface ewes and an inbye flock of750 cross-bred ewes.

Development of closed flock with strong focus on genetics and digital recording of individual animal performance.

Working individually and as a member of the team. Occasional assistance with cattle expected.

Good dogs essential. Basic computer skills necessary. Good remuneration package, including lambing bonus.

Good two/three bedroom house available. Oil central heating. Easy access to local primary school.
