Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
Direct responsibility for individual Farm & Estate Client relationships with work streams, which include:
• Day to Day Management & Consultancy across a diverse range of agricultural and rural businesses.
• Budgeting and financial management of farm and rural businesses assisted by an in-house accounts team.
• Completion and management of Contract Farming/Share Farming and grazing agreements.
• Completion of one-off strategic business reviews.
• Ad-hoc consultancy instructions.


What We’re Looking For:
You will be expected to demonstrate a diplomatic ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues. Networking skills will be critical, and the ability to develop business and encourage others to do the same will be vital.
• Previous consultancy experience, good market knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Sound practical agricultural and ideally estate management experience.
• Ideally 3 + years post-graduation.
• Personable and presentable, confident with a positive outlook.
• Potential team leader, effective communicator with a strategic outlook.
• Strong analytical, research and report writing skills.
• Understanding of the rural property and factors driving the rural and agricultural land markets.
• Excellent numerate, analytical and technical skills.
• IT competent.
• Ability to work to deadlines, plan their time effectively and manage pinch points.
• Ethical with solid integrity.
• Someone with innate curiosity and is eager to experiment and push the boundaries of what is possible.
• Strategic approach to problem solving.
• Ability to drive a substantial caseload with limited oversight.
• Autonomous – able to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finish.
• Continuous improvement: delivers efficiency in addition to effectiveness.
