Our consultancy services include crops & soil health, livestock management, business planning, food and drink product development, forestry & woodland management, climate change mitigation, rural diversification, renewables and sustainability.

SRUC is enhancing and building its consultancy offering in the arable and potato sectors. In this role you will deliver practical agronomy advice and trials information to growers and corporate subscribers, in addition to carrying out applied R&D work, and other consultancy contracts including technical writing. You will work closely with colleagues in the potato and arable teams, and link to the innovative work of colleagues in SRUC Research, in order to develop opportunities and deliver work to clients.

You must have strong consultancy experience with a strong track record in the arable and potato sectors where you can expand our crop consultancy business in Scotland. You should bring enthusiasm combined with good knowledge/specialist interest in crops with a willingness to grow the Consultant role.
