RURAL PAYMENTS ADMINISTRATOR

About the role
As the Rural Payments Administrator you will provide a critical interface between our site operations and our finance team. You will ensure that all our UK sites receive their full entitlement of rural payments, countryside stewardship grants and other eligible payments.

You will report to the Chief Operating Officer working closely with regional and site managers.

The role will include:
• Administration of all rural payments for FFC’s properties in the UK (BPS, Countryside Stewardship, Rural Development etc).
• Relationship management with local rural payment officers throughout the UK
• Maintaining relevant databases and ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a competent administrator, confident in working remotely and able to manage the administration for dozens of sites across the UK. The ideal candidate would be a self-disciplined and very organised operator with a strong working knowledge of the rural payments system in at least one of the UK’s countries. We are also looking for a candidate aligned to the business’s character and objective, with a keen interest in biodiversity and combating climate change.

You must have:
• Experience of administering rural payments in the UK
• Knowledge of different entitlements and their qualifying criteria
• Strong competence in IT and remote working (G Suite, Zoom, word processing and database management)
• Ability to use Gov.UK and other government administrative websites
• Experience of working in a small business environment
• Confidence in engaging with a variety of stakeholders such as agents, local administrators, investors.
