POTATO PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

J & E Smillie are Seed Potato Growers and Merchants based at Ruthvenfield, Perth, growing seed potatoes in their right as well as acting as marketing agents for A & F Growers and Caledonia Potatoes.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Potato Production Assistant to join our small team in Perth. As a Potato Production Assistant, you will be involved primarily with our Grower’s Group, A & F Growers’ production but also J & E Smillie’s own growing area. The role will also involve assisting with the planning and delivery of export seed potatoes. As part of a small team, the ability to work with others is vital but equally having the initiative to work on your is also important. The job is primarily office based in Perth, but there is an option for hybrid working. We would welcome applications from recent graduates. The ideal candidate should be.

• A team player, comfortable to work with others but able to work on their own with their own initiative.
• An excellent communicator.
• Willing to undertake further professional training.
• Computer literate.
• Prepared to work flexible hours during busy periods.
