LECTURER IN RURAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

£34,029 - £39,460 per annum
SRUC is looking for an enthusiastic lecturer with a strong emphasis in rural business management and financial accounting who is able to integrate with colleagues across our existing teaching portfolio. Candidates should have strengths in rural business management and entrepreneurship (specific interests and skills may include, but not limited to, food supply chain management, operations management, digitalisation, resilience and sustainability).
Additionally, knowledge of new developments in current rural financial policy, agriculture, sustainable financial management theory and practice, and project management would be advantageous, as well as fostering strong links with related industries.
You will teach across our portfolio in Rural Business Management and Agriculture; and may be required to support our MSc courses in Organic Farming and Agricultural Professional Practice. There is an emphasis on preparing students for careers in the rural sector, including agriculture, tourism and entrepreneurship, and fostering the essential skills needed by practicing business leaders.
To be considered for this role you should possess a BSc in relevant subject area (or exceptional teaching or industry experience equivalent to the above) and a Teaching Qualification or a willingness to complete one within two years of appointment.
