EXPERIENCED STOCKPERSON

An opportunity is still available for an experienced stockperson or general farm worker with a keen interest in cattle to help with the day-to-day management of 250 suckler cows on a Perthshire hill farm.

The role will entail all aspects of the day-to-day management and animal husbandry ensuring the highest standards of welfare are achieved whilst maximising daily live weight gain.

Occasional seasonal tractor driving would also come under your remit alongside the usual calving, feeding, bedding and related yard tasks that such a job entails.

The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, must be able to work well on their own and as part of a small team. Confidence and competency, be passionate and dedicated to the animals in their care and enjoy the responsibility and pride in the animals they help to produce.
