The business
Lloyd’s Register (LR) Customised Assurance provides a range of agricultural supply chain and farm assurance services to 25,000+ farmers and growers throughout the UK, including assessment and certification for leading brands such as Red Tractor, Scottish Quality Crops, leaf and Quality Meat Scotland as well as assessing compliance with environmental and retailer schemes.

The role
Due to continued growth in the agricultural supply chain and farm assurance sectors LR is seeking to recruit auditors on a Sub-Contractor basis; with experience in a range of livestock sectors (i.e beef, lamb, dairy, Pigs ), combinable crops, fresh produce. Leaf In all areas of Scotland but focussing in on South and North Western areas

We are looking for well organised, reliable individuals who have practical experience in the industry and are keen to progress into auditing as part of a subcontractor relationship. A demonstrable knowledge and understanding of leading assurance schemes and how the Standards are applied in practice, combined with experience in the use of technology and associated software is essential. Previous assessing or inspection experience would be an advantage.

You will:
• Be part of a growing and valued assessment/inspection team
• Be responsible for managing your own assessment schedule within agreed timeframes
• Be an effective communicator capable of accurately reporting findings
• Be professional, reliable, confident and respectful in the delivery of your role
• Be supported by a highly experienced technical, and operations team

You will need:
• An agricultural qualification (i.e. degree or HND in a related field) or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years industry experience within the relevant sector
• A good understanding of leading farm and supply chain assurance standards and their application
• Competent IT skills
