With 46 calves forward, the judge, James Nisbet, awarded his champion to a 582kg Limousin cross heifer from Alan Lindsay of Carluke YFC. This went on to be sold on the Saturday for 465p per kg or £2706 to B and T Kitson, Yorkshire.
Lucy Graham of Biggar YFC claimed the reserve title with her 664kg Limousin cross bullock, which went on to make 335p or £2224.40 to J Chapman butchers.
