Some 35 entries forward for the North of Fife Foal Show saw in-hand judge, William Mitchell, Mid Lothian, select is overall champion in the foal winner, Muirton Successor from Thomas Clark and Sons, Perth.
This junior colt foal by Muirton Sabre, out of Macfin Diamond Queen was reserve colt foal at both Kilmarnock Foal Show and Lanark foal Show.
Reserve overall was the runner up foal champion, Collessie Princess, a senior filly foal from Ronnie Black and family, Fife. Overall champion at Lanark Foal Show, he also boasts first prize rosettes.
The same home also took the reserve senior honours with Collessie Aurora, a yearling filly by Collessie Highlander, out of Roughlands Jasmine. She was champion at Fife in May.
Jim Greenhill from Angus, won the senior section with his three-year old filly shown by daughter Louise Greenhill. Tulloes Alanna, by Arradoul Balvenie and out of Tulloes Lady Jane, is a full sister to the 2022 Scottish World Show Champion Tulloes Emily. She was champion at Kirriemuir and Fettercairn Shows and at Teen Ranch.
Edith Gunn from East Calder judged the driving, ridden and young handlers classes. Winning the cart class was Woodhouse Hussar from Ailsa and Annette Noble from Penicuik driven on the day by groom Tyla Brown.
Top place in the ridden class went to Lutterington Butterfly from Harry Emmerson, Co Durham. Ridden by Natalie Leslie the six-year-old mare is by Collessie New Approach and out of Coachmills Lady Helen. Last month the mare competed at the Horse of the Year Show where she placed in the top 10.
