Ian and Andrew Nimmo’s Maraiscote herd from Wishaw, continued on its winning ways in the Scottish Limousin Herds competition to lift the supreme overall.

Following a year of breed championships, inter-breed beef honours and overall champion of champions, the Nimmos landed the top award having first won the medium herd section along with trophies for the best cow progeny, stock bull, in-calf heifer and best 2023-born bull and heifer calves.

Reserve overall was the Dick family's Ronick herd from Stirling, with Stephanie Dick also winning the award for the best exhibitor under 30 years of age.

Robert Graham’s Grahams herd won the show points herd of the year with a total of 489.5points, while Andrew Gammie and his father Jim’s Westpit herd took the award for the best small exhibitor.

Best commercial herd was Willie McLaren’s Mclarens herd from Muirhouses, Kirriemuir which also took the trophy for the most uniform cattle. Graham Cameron, Wester Bonhard, Scone, won the award for the reserve commercial herd.
