Allan Jackson and Senga Hamilton Guy’s Lanarkshire-based Headlind herd has not only come out on top to win the Scottish small Beef Shorthorn herds competition but also the supreme overall.

The couple also won champion honours for the best bull calf and the reserve stock bull and runner-up heifer born in 2023, with Headlind Vavoom, Rhinestone Cowboy and Headlind Tilly, respectively.

Reserve was the extra large herd of James Biggar’s Chapelton enterprise based at Castle Douglas.
