One of the best known Holstein cows on the show circuit, Clydeview Sidekick Matilda, continued on her winning ways to lift the inter-breed championship and Supercow honours at the West of Scotland Dairy Show, staged at Ayr Auction Mart, last weekend.

The second calver owned by Robbie and Margo Scott and Salvy Esquierdo, Tarbolton, boasts a kist-load of awards since she was bought privately from her breeders Ewan and Emma Kennedy after winning the champion individual cow in the West of Scotland Winter Herds competition.

Reserve champion at the UK Dairy Expo in March, she then scooped the inter-breed dairy honours at Ayr and reserve inter-breed at the Great Yorkshire Show. Matilda was also champion overall in the West of Scotland Summer Herds competition, and first prize senior three-year-old and honourable mention at UK Dairy Day at Telford last month.
