William and Laura Thomson, Hownam Grange, had a cracking day at Yetholm Border Shepherds’ Show, taking both the champion and reserve honours.

Their supreme was the North Country Cheviot park-type gimmer, with their reserve going to a Lairg-type Cheviot ewe.

Yetholm is also renowned for its show of crooks which attracts one of the biggest entries in the country and this year was won by Alistair Warwick.
