Record entries were forward for the Scottish Holstein Calf Show at Lawrie and Symington’s Agricultural Centre at Lanark, which saw no fewer than 40 handlers and 73 calves compete.

It was a tough competition in both numbers and standard, with everyone looking to take away the top prizes and qualify for the All Breeds All Britain calf show staged this weekend (Friday, Sept 20-Sunday, Sept 22) at the Staffordshire County Showground.
