A LACK of numbers was made up for with some quality animals in the dairy section before judge David Brewster, of the Boclair herd, at LiveScot, last weekend.
The championship went the way of Jimmy Baillie, Over Dalserf, Ashgill, Larkhall, for the fresh-looking fifth calver, Dalserf Demon Corneliske 442. Bred from a long-established family in the herd, this one was taking her third title at Livescot.
Robbie Scott and Kate McInnes, Shacklehill, Mossblown, were reserve with the third calver which was second to the champion in her class, Nethervalley Kingping Sara, which had been bred out of Sterndale Goldsun Sara.
Third place in the final line-up went to the winner of the junior cow in milk class, Lettrickhills Casper Serina, from Jim Boyd, Lettrickhills, Cambuslang.

Senior cow in milk – 1, JD Baillie’s Dalserf Demon Corneliske 442; 2, R Scott and Kate McInnes’ Nethervalley Kingpin Sara; 3, T and M Irving’s Bectonhall Serinario.
