Grampian Foal Show relocated to a a new venue this year, Fountain Equestrian Centre, near Dyce.
It was a familiar face, however, that came to the top of the standings. After many near misses, Eric and Miranda Johnstone’s Ord Tinkerbell, from Muir of Ord, took the honours.
A May-born filly foal, Tinkerbelle had won five filly foal red tickets in the current round of shows, before winning last Saturday.
She is by this year’s reserve Cawdor Cup winner, Eskechraggan Ernest and out of the well-known show winning mare, Ord Envy.
Judge, Alistair Ferguson, pulled out as reserve another May-born foal, this time a colt, Anguston Mike, from Norman Christie, Roadside, Fintray. By Bratlach Millichen out of Anguston Molly, he was second at Forfar.
