SIR, How about farmers go on a go slow with their tractors etc on busy main roads and dual carriage ways all over the Uk for one hour in the morning, e.g between 10-11 am.
This would be a suitable time so that we don't cause any holdups during rush hour. Not just tractors why not haulage lorries ,sales reps in fact anyone that is involved in the farming industry. Demonstrations outside parliament in Scotland and England and other government offices haven't given us much clout .
We need to be doing something more proactive There are several NFU farmers groups in the UK. Surely this could be the way to organise and mobilise the protest.
The more farmers that can get involved the better and with the demonstration only lasting one hour per day, five days per week means we don't have to be away from our farms for long.
