SIR,
As agriculture is getting the blame for global warming it’s about time we stood up for ourselves.
It was Ad Blue for the coo that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Global warming is caused by these giant radiators they call cities soaking up vast amounts of solar energy and releasing it at night. The urban sprawl has grown massively in the last 50 years and is now causing the Earth to warm up.
There were 50 million bison burping and farting their way around the Great Plains in North America not that long ago – these have been replaced by some of the vast herds of dairy cows (mostly in the Stewartry), so not much has changed really apart from the recent developments of concrete and tar so to sit back in your urban sprawl and blame farming for this huge problem beggars belief.
Our present government can only be described as Nero fiddling while Rome burns.
Don’t criticise farming when you’re flying off on holiday to some radiator on the continent or further afield.
