Scotland has lost one of its best known pedigree cattle breeders in the passing of Major David Walter, Balthayock, Perth. He was 90 years of age.
A gentleman and a real character, Major Walter will be renowned for breeding easy-calving Charolais bulls which regularly attracted five-figure prices at the Stirling Bull Sales.
All are welcome at the funeral on Friday, March 22 at 2pm at Perth Cathedral.
