Preparations are underway for an annual show of tractors from a bygone era of farming.

The fourth heritage show by the North Yorkshire Group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club will take place at Thirsk Farmers' Auction Mart on Sunday, November 17.

The event will run from 10am to 5pm, and admission is £6 per adult with under 14s free of charge. A family ticket for two adults and two children will cost £10.

Organisers are hoping to build on the success of last year's show, which featured 67 tractors, plus 52 stationary engines, with even larger numbers anticipated.

Classic and vintage tractors will be displayed under cover, while the engines will run outside along with a working threshing machine.

There will also be several vintage cars and Land Rovers, plus trade stands, model displays, a book stall and a tombola in the mart foyer. Refreshments will be available from the mart cafe.
