Simmentals took the top price at United Auctions’ one day Stirling Bull sales, selling to 28,000gns for Kilbride Farm Prince.

This April 2023 born bull from Norman and Michael Robson, Kilbride Farm, Doagh, Ballyclare is a son of Kilbride Farm Jetstream 18 and out of Kilbride Farm Fanni 68J. He sold to Michael and John Barlow of the Denizes herd.

Second top price in the breed of 15,000gns came from Jimmy, Vicki, Harry and Hannah Wood, Popes Farm, Dutton. Popes Premier a January 2023 born is a son of Popes Lethal Weapon 20 and out of Popes Princess Immie. Knocked down to Islay Estates, Bridgend, Isle of Islay.

Charolais took a joint top price of 16,000gns, firstly was the reserve breed champion, Goldies Unity from Hamish Goldie, Dumfries. This March 2023 born bull is a son of Caylers Rocky and bred from Goldies Miranda. Jim Hodge, Dykes, took this one home to Ayrshire.

Sean Mitchell, Grassknop, Penrith took the same money for his April 2023 born bull, Huttonend Ubelter when selling to Bill Bruce, Balmyle, Meigle. A son of Barnsford Ferny he is out of Allanfauld Ozzy.

Topping the Aberdeen Angus trade at 13,000gns was Drumhill Exchange Rate from Northern Irish breeders, Jonathan and Lisa Doyle, Drumhill. A son of Galcantray Jedi Eric, he is out of Drumhill Evora. Taking this second prize bull home was Neil and Mark Wattie of the Tonley herd, Alford.

Archie and John Macgregor, Allanfauld, Kilsyth, topped the Limousin trade at 12,000gns for Allanfauld USA. This April 2023 born bull is a son of Milbrook Playboy and out of Allanfauld Poet. This boy now travels to Orkney with K Eunson, Braebuster, Deerness.
