Steve and Jessica Swales from the Bradhill and Stonehouse Beef Shorthorn herds held a reduction sale through CCM auctions’ Skipton Mart.
The in-calf cow, Bradhill Butterfly 2, topped the sale at 2450gns when selling to Levens farmer, W Benson. This March 2021 born Wenmar Kentaro daughter sold carrying her second calf to Craigfaddock Praetorian.
Millerston Melody Ripple then realised 2400gns, being an April 2021 Bushypark Tiger-sired cow. Carrying her second calf to Jodame Sydney she sold with her April-born Cairnsmore Schmeichel-sired heifer calf, Bradhill Myrtle 2. Final bidder was George Robinson, Helton.
Not far behind on 2350gns was Bradhill Clipper Ali which JT and N Monkhouse, Shieldhill, forked out the money. This second calver sold with her March-born Bradhill Evaluate son.
Bradhill Augusta Celeste then realised 2300gns when selling toD Francis of Hillam. Sired by Rookwith Go Getter, she is in calf to Redhill Lord Thunder.
On the same money was the March 2022 born heifer, Bradhill Myrtle H, a daughter of Cairnsmore Landmark she sold carrying a calf to Chapelton Pioneer, and found a home with L Driver and Son, Oakenshaw.
The same buyer paid out the same money for Nonpareil X1541 of Upsall. A King David daughter in-calf to Bradhill Titan she sold with her Bradhill Royalty daughter.
