THERE are delays on the M5 motorway after a lorry carrying livestock overturned near Taunton, Somerset, on Monday, October 14.
Northbound on the M5, lanes one and two between junction 25 (Taunton) and 24 (Bridgwater) were closed earlier this afternoon, with delays reaching more than 80 minutes.
The lanes have now reopened but there is still around six miles of congestion, causing delays of 50 minutes.
A spokesperson from the Avon and Somerset Police said: "Officers remain at the scene of a single vehicle collision between J25 and J24 of the M5, in which a trailer containing cattle overturned.
"The incident was called into us at 1.18pm."
