Sunday Times bestselling author and farmer, Helen Rebanks, will be the keynote speaker at the Women in Agriculture Scotland (WiAS) autumn event.
Rebanks rose to fame as a voice for the farmer’s wife, highlighting the role they play within the farm ecosystem and the household. Putting this to paper in her debut book, a candid representation of life entitled The Farmer’s Wife.
Foraging for Empowerment: A Storytelling Adventure will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at The Den at Culross.
The event will feature workshops led by other influential women in the agricultural sector, including journalist, broadcaster and author Anna Jones and foraging expert Cat Frankitti.
WiAS host these events to build and foster networks within the agricultural industry and assist in the education and progression of women in agriculture.
WiAS chair Carole Brunton said: “WiAS events are open to men and women, and I hope with such fantastic guest speakers that we will see a number of new faces in the audience. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking throughout the day and lunch will be included."
