A woman has been 'taken to a place of safety' after an incident in Darlington last night that saw a large emergency services response.
Ambulances and police officers were called to a bridge near Darlington railway station, as a person was in a "precarious position".

Witnesses at the scene reported a large emergency service presence on Yarm Road.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to a bridge near Darlington railway station at around 6.15pm last night (October 2) to reports of a person in a precarious position.
"Officers attended, alongside paramedics. A woman has now been taken to a place of safety."
