A centre record for a North Country Cheviot hill type was achieved at Harrison and Hetherington’s Lockerbie centre which matched the breed record of £28,000.

This was for the two-shear ram, Whitehope Dark Knight, from Norman and David Douglas, Catslackburn, Yarrow, Selkirk, alongside shepherd, Matt Carryer. Backed by home-bred genetics he is a son of Whitehope Batman and bred from a Whitehope ewe. Taking home the record breaker was Martyn Cook, Dorrery Farm, Halkirk.

Two rams then made £12,000, firstly was Gillesbie Davinci, from Gillesbie Farms, Boreland, Lockerbie. Brought out by shepherd, Alistair Stewart this boy is backed by home-bred genetics on both sides and found a new home with the Woods of Potholm.

George Irving’s pen leader from Mountbenger, Yarrow, Selkirk matched that price tag when selling to David and Ian Walker, Alticane, Girvan. Benger Dambuster is sired by Attonburn Apollo and out of a home-bred ewe.
