A BARN fire in North Yorkshire has been tackled by firefighters from across the region.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at 1.41am on Thursday (September 19) after reports of a fire in Weaverthorpe in Ryedale.
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Fire crews from across the region attended reports of two large barns on fire covering approx 1000 m2.
“The barns contained straw and farm machinery. Six appliances along with two water bowsers attended to tackle the fire.”
