Recent data from retail analyst Kantar reveals that Aldi has become the leading UK supermarket for selling British free-range eggs.
In the 12 weeks leading up to June 9, Aldi sold nearly 200 million free-range eggs, the highest number among UK retailers.
Aldi has reportedly ‘invested over £50 million into UK egg farming and producers in the past two years’.

Julie Ashfield, Aldi’s managing director of buying, commented: “British suppliers are integral to Aldi’s success, and the long-term relationships we’ve formed with our UK egg farmers are something we take great pride in.
“Becoming the largest provider of free-range eggs is a great achievement which wouldn’t have been possible without these brilliant suppliers, who continue to work with us to put animal welfare first.”
