Claas Disco mowers have been key representatives in Claas’ portfolio for over 25 years. This year, the lineup was further enhanced with four new mower-conditioner combinations, including the Disco 8500 Conditioner (C) Trend, Disco 8500 Roller Conditioner (RC) Trend, Disco 9300 C Comfort, and Disco 9300 RC Comfort. Additionally, the new large-scale mower, Disco 1100 Comfort, has been added to the product range in select countries.

Collectively, the Disco range offers more than 15 different mower combinations, with working widths ranging from 8.3m to 10.7m. At a glance, one notable feature includes new dark grey protective skirts instead of white.

Disco 8500 C / RC trend

Claas has introduced advanced features in its 8.3m Disco 8500 C and RC Trend models. Designed for mid-range tractors with outputs from 160hp, these models focus on stable, lightweight construction, a close center of gravity, and low power requirements.

Key features include the robust telescopic arm concept, Active Float ground pressure adjustment, and mechanical non-stop collision protection.

The low-speed concept on the Max Cut mower bed allows operation at 850rpm, enhancing fuel efficiency. The models feature advanced drive technology with individual drive protection and bolted Walterscheid overload clutches.

The Disco 8500 C Trend, with optional double roller drive and scissor gear unit, ensures maximum throughput and service life in demanding conditions.

Operation is simplified through two spool valves and integration into the tractor’s headland management system.

Disco 9300 C / RC comfort

Positioned above the Disco 8500 series, the 9.1m Disco 9300 C / RC Comfort range also features improved centre of gravity, plus reduced PTO start-up speed, and conditioning capabilities for tractors from 180hp.

The V-shaped steel tines ensure high throughputs at reduced fuel consumption. Hardox-reinforced conditioning plates and adjustable conditioning intensity and deposition width enhance durability and efficiency.

The Disco 9300 RC Comfort is equipped with a high-efficiency roller conditioner for delicate forage legumes. Optional double roller drive with scissor gear unit and longer swathing plates cater to compact swath laying.

The Comfort equipment offers optional automatic control of the Active Float system, easing the operator’s workload and ensuring consistent results. Additional ISOBUS-controlled functions include individual lifting of telescopic arms and hydraulic protective cover folding.

The all new Disco 1100 Comfort, available in certain markets, comes with capabilities of hydraulically adjusting the working width from 10.8m to 9.6m. Out on the road the mower folds to less than 4m.

Max Cut

All Disco mowers feature the proven Max Cut mower bed with quick-knife change and Active Float suspension. These features deliver clean, high cutting frequency at reduced PTO speed for optimal efficiency. Flow-optimised wear skids reduce crude ash contamination and increase regrowth, further reducing tractive power requirements and diesel use.

Max Cut mowing discs come equipped with wear protection studs for extended service life. Knife holders feature high-quality tungsten carbide coating, and the mower bed oil filling reduces maintenance and costs.
