Nutrition business Harbo has announced the acquisition of Murray Farmcare.

The Harbro Group have taken over Murray Farmcare Ltd, an independent group of country stores based in Dumfriesshire and the North of England.

“Murray Farmcare has very similar offerings and audience to Harbro, so it is a perfect fit and will allow us to expand our retail and on farm sales in the South of Scotland and over the border into the North of England.” Commented Harbro managing director Chris Baxter.

Murray Farmcare managing director, Andrew Cairns said:
