A FLOCK of sheep were rescued from a river in a Worcestershire village.
Five sheep were saved by firefighters last night and left in the care of their farmer following the incident in Pixham, Callow End.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Malvern Fire Station plus the boat crews from Worcester and Evesham and the incident command unit and drone from Ledbury were called at 8.37pm on June 23 to the rescue of a small animal from water in Pixham, Callow End.
"Five sheep were rescued from the riverside using a boat and left in the care of the farmer.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 8.09pm."
