This is due to the success of Prime Video’s hit show Clarkson’s Farm which documents day-to-day life on the farm.

Clarkson has helped bring the plight of British farmers to light with his work on the show and is a staunch advocate for agricultural practices in the country.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is campaigning to be re-elected this summer with the UK general election scheduled for Thursday, July 4.

The PM addressed the topic of British farming in a video posted to social media along with the caption: “87 words. That’s all Labour's manifesto had to say about British farming.”

Standing in a field in the video posted to X, Sunak said: “I’ve represented one of the most rural constituencies in our country in North Yorkshire and the Conservatives have always backed British farming, boosting our food production and food security and supporting those farms hit recently by floods and we will continue to do so.

“It’s crystal clear, there’s only one party that’s backing British farmers at this election and it’s the Conservative party.”

Clarkson agreed with Sunak and simply responded: “With him on that.”
