A key partner in the Scottish Agriculture Awards is AgriScot which has evolved into what is widely regarded as one of the premier events in UK agriculture.
AgriScot Chair Robert Neill spoke about the importance of the awards ahead of this years’ event. He said: “There is no time like the present to celebrate what farmers do. We need to stand up and showcase agriculture in Scotland and champion Scottish produce.

Events in Ukraine have brought renewed focus on food security. Scotland is in prime position to feed the nation and the Scottish Agricultural Awards provide an opportunity to emphasise the economic contribution farming makes and the high standards that are achieved within the sector.
There are so many good news stories to tell and especially, for example, in relation to the environment. Scottish farmers are unrecognised champions of environmental practices and the green economy – playing a key role in the battle against climate change.
The awards will be a celebration of the great job that Scottish farmers do and will provide a platform to illustrate the positive initiatives that agricultural businesses right across the country are involved in.”
AgriScot will return to Ingliston this November (22nd) for an action-packed, trade-focused event. As the premier agricultural business event in Scotland, it provides a platform for farmers to meet face-to-face with suppliers, hear the latest in ag tech, from health care to machinery, and take advantage of the huge range of expertise on offer - all in one place.
With hundreds of exhibitors attending year-on-year, the event has continued to evolve over the past 20 years, building on the offering to ensure that there is something to suit every business and to appeal to all farming sectors.
This includes live streaming the impressive seminar programme, making it accessible for anyone in Scotland and for those who attend, the option to catch-up after. Sessions on animal disease to agricultural policy, futureproofing your farming business and cooperatives are just a few examples of those on offer.

AgriScot is also a day of celebration, welcoming the winners of the Farm of the Year categories within the Agri Awards. Joining the event in the main ring, these farming businesses will collect their plaques to display proudly on their return to the farm.
The main ring is also home to dairy cattle judging, renowned across the world for its high calibre of entries, and a beef cattle demonstration, highlighting options to improve efficiency within the herd. The AgriScot Silage Competition provides widespread appeal, and the AgriScot Business Skills Competition provides an opportunity to encourage and support future business leaders.
Whether you’re looking for a day away to break up the monotony, searching for inspiration and advice on how to safeguard your business or keen to get up to date with key policy changes ahead, no matter what sector you’re in, you will leave armed with new contacts and ideas which will be worthwhile to your business.

AgriScot is as much a celebration of our farming industry as it is an opportunity to meet with suppliers and network with industry leaders, but what cannot be overstated, is the importance of those social connections as we head into the winter – a reminder to look out for one another and check in with friends and colleagues.
AgriScot will take place on Wednesday 22nd November 2023. Entry and car parking is free. Pre-registration is now open for express entry, saving you time on the day - www.agriscot.co.uk
