An exciting opportunity has become available at Bruce Farms for a farm manager to run the farming enterprise.
The key responsibilities would be:
• Organising the 20 full-time staff
• Managing the 2000 acres of owned arable farm land
• Running the 800 acres potato enterprise (largely rented)
• Running the 250 acres of blackcurrant plantations
• Running the 1000 acres
Description
While Bruce Farms is predominately based around the rural village of Meigle in Perthshire; there is also a satellite potato operation at the Scottish Borders. Both sites have modern cold storage facilities and grading sheds for potatoes.
Other business streams at Bruce Farms include peas, soft fruit and pedigree cattle which are managed independently by small, dedicated teams with external agronomy advice.
Bruce Farms are ably supported by excellent office staff and a loyal workforce. Tractors, machinery and equipment are all modern and maintained to a very high standard by a team of mechanics based in a large, well equipped workshop.
