Leading Scottish animal disease research station, the Moredun Research Institute, is to receive a donation of £2000 from the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association in support of research into finding solutions to combat diseases of sheep.
Professor Lee Innes, from Moredun, said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association to help support our research into diseases of sheep.
"Moredun has a long and proud history of working in partnership with sheep farmers to find solutions to combat infectious disease of livestock and this model of working has brought significant successes over the years. We would like to thank the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association for their valuable support”.
Alec Telfer, president of the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association, said: “We are very pleased to be long term supporters of Moredun in the great work they do for our industry and in the constant battle to find solutions to existing and emerging animal health issues.
"Moredun is internationally renowned as an essential part of the livestock farming industry and we thank them for their great work.”
