A woman has been trampled to death by cows in West Sussex
A 55 year old woman has died after being trampled to death by cattle at a farm in West Sussex.
The tragic incident happened in a field in Rowner Road in Billingshurst at around 11.40am on Monday August 22. Emergency services pronounced the woman dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained.
Sussex Police has informed her next of kin and are not treating the woman's death as suspicious.
A statement from Sussex Police said: "Officers are investigating and have appealed for any witnesses in the area at the time to come forward.
"Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or on 101 and quote serial 577 of 23/08."
