The ‘huge interest’ in the Clydesdales at the Highland Show bodes well for the World Clydesdale show later in the year in Aberdeen.
Committee member and Clydesdale breeder Val Smith said: “Everyone is in awe of the horses, the show is an opportunity to be close to the animals which the public doesn’t often get.
"It is great to see so many people enjoying the horses. We are building up to our biggest show ever in the UK when we hope over 20,000 people will attend the World Clydesdale Show at the end of October. We will be having horses coming from Canada and the US for the event which is usually held over there.”
