An inspiring and informative day was enjoyed by all at the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators Limited (IAgSA ), Northern Regional Training Day, at Hetland Hall Hotel, Dumfries.
Ms Mairi Gougeon, Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands, gave a Government update focussing on initiatives enabling and supporting women in agriculture and briefly covered the topics of CAP replacement and the opportunities that may be available to the sector. She also spoke of the taskforce looking into food security and supply.

Heather Wildman of Saviour Associates gave an informative presentation about 'Succession – One day all this will be yours! and the serious challenges this creates.
The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers' Mike Jardine, familiarised members with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) to do list and explained what to expect from an ICB inspection.
