First Milk has announced a further 2.3ppl increase to its member milk price for May, 2022 – building on an increase announced last month it will give producers a total increase from May 1 of 3.3ppl from current levels.
This will take its May, 2022, milk price on a manufacturing standard litre to 40.05ppl, including the member premium and regenerative bonus. Robert Craig, farmer director and vice-chairman of FM, said: “Exceptional cost inflation continues to be felt on farm and we are working hard to return additional income to our members as fast as we can.
