Prices peaked at £3200 at Harrison and Hetherington's annual show and sale of suckled calves at Carlisle, when an unhaltered Limousin cross heifer from Lloyd Fowlie, Guise, Alford, sold to Blair Duffton, Huntly.
The event which saw mostly autumn-born calves forward was followed by a heifer at £3000 purchased by Jean McKay, Harelaw, Glasgow. It was consigned by Helen Claxton, High House Farm, Newton.

The champion, selected by the judge, Frank Robson, South Farm, Ryal, was a Limousin cross heifer from Craig Robertson and his father John, Newton of Logierait, Pitlochry which made £2600 to T Holloway, Letham, Newton Mearns.
Reserve was the first prize Limousin steer from Messrs Telfer, Newton High House, Stocksfield which made £1800 selling to Mark Hallam, Ashbourne.
