Averages were well up across the board at Caledonian Marts' sale of rams and ram lambs, where Texels and Beltex cross shearlings cashed in at £547 (+£83 on the year) and £487 (+£136) respectively, whilst Bluefaced Leicesters balanced out at £804.
Topping the sale at £1100 were two Bluefaced Leicester shearlings from R Sibbald, Thorn, whilst Texel shearlings made £1020 from R McNee, Woodend.

The same home topped the Beltex crosses at £1000, whilst Charollais peaked at £480 from R and M Paterson, Upper Auchenlay.
Lambs reached £450 on two occasions both for Suffolk from J and M Buchanan, Prettsmill; and from J C Tulloch, Riggfoot.
