Lanarkshire Holstein Club's annual calf show and showmanship competition, attracted a quality entry to Lanark Agricultural Centre, where judge Will Horsley of the Woodcott Herd, Penrith, saw 10 strong handlers and 18 calves forward looking to claim the top awards.

Clinching the championship calf rosette was Drointon TLC Jordy OK Seisme, owned in a three-way split between Grayridge Holsteins, Dilmun; Drointon Holsteins, Stafford and TLC Holsteins, England.

Reserve among the calves was Parkend Fontaine Maude from Brian Weatherup, Parkend, whilst Overside Secretariat Irina from Grayridge Holsteins, Dilmun took honourable mention.

Mark Bryson, Carnduff, came out on top in the showmanship competition, as well as securing the Tam Allan Perpetual Trophy for the 2021 highest placed junior member.

Standing in reserve was Calum Gray, with Erica Gray taking honourable mention.
