Annandale YFs Thomas Illingworth and Lewis Carruthers took the top prize at the national beef cattle dressing competition which took place on Saturday, October 12, at Craig Wilson market, Ayr. Cattle were supplied on the day by Andrew Ireland and judges Jim Kennedy and Tim Russell made their selections from five junior and five senior teams. Overall runners up went to Ayr YFs Louise and Alice Allan, with Kilmaurs representatives Adam Smith and Marion Muir taking first prize juniors and third place overall
