A pair of new off-road electric-powered vehicles, under the Shire brand, have been announced by Propel Energy.
The Bedfordshire-based business has developed its ATV range over a number of years and say they have been fully tested to be ‘fit for purpose', plus all the advantages of electric power.

The Shire Tundra E-ATV 4x4 has a 14Kw drivetrain and 72V lithium-ion battery offering a travel range of 100km and a top speed of 60mph. Switchable two and four-wheel-drive, with a differential lock, are standard features.
The Tundra is a long wheelbase version of this style of ATV, allowing two riders to ride it in tandem. It also comes with all round hydraulic disc brakes, a foot brake and double A-arm suspension.
Under a current promotion, the Tundra 4x4 will be delivered with front winch, tow ball, additional seat, underside skid tray, front and rear carriers, front bull bar, and wing mirrors in the price of £18,460 plus VAT.

The second model, the Shire Brutus 6x4 E-UTV, has twin 5Kw electric motors offering a payload of 1000kg and able to give a driving distance of 70km, with a top speed of 40km/hr.
Delivered with front winch, wing mirrors, two seats, and electric rear bed tipper, this model costs £19,970 plus VAT.
