Vogelsang introduced its latest innovations in liquid manure spreading technology at EuroTier 2024. The event marked the debut of the BlackBird Single trailing shoe linkage and the ExaCut distributor range.
Expanding the BlackBird line-up
The BlackBird Single is the newest addition to Vogelsang’s BlackBird series, designed with compactness and adaptability in mind.
This lightweight system supports working widths from 7.5m to 12m and weighs just 1050kg at its maximum width, making it particularly suitable for smaller slurry tanks. Its integrated slope compensation ensures uniform slurry distribution, even on uneven terrain and the compact design allows easy retrofitting and compliance with European transport regulations, folding down to just 2.55m for transport.

Henning Ahlers, sales manager for Agricultural Technology at Vogelsang, explained: “With the BlackBird Single, we are offering modern liquid manure spreading technology suitable for smaller slurry tanks and working widths, meeting stricter legal requirements.”
The BlackBird line-up also features:
• BlackBird Light: A slimline model available in 12m and15m widths with dual ExaCut ECM distributors, boasting a 20% weight reduction compared to the BlackBird Pro.
• BlackBird Pro and Max: Larger models with working widths up to 30m, featuring PrecisionFlow spouting for slurry application at 25cm intervals.
For farmers prioritising narrower row spacing, the innovative DoubleFlow runner halves enable application bands as narrow as 12.5cm.
Cutting-edge
The BlackBird Single incorporates durable plastic runners and a slim, centrally installed precision distributor from Vogelsang’s ExaCut series. These minimise ground impact during use while simplifying retrofitting across a variety of slurry tankers. The ExaCut range includes eccentric adjusters to withstand foreign object impacts and ensure resilience.
Vogelsang also showcased additional technologies at EuroTier including:
• XSplit slurry separator: A compact, stationary system designed for efficient slurry handling.
• VarioAdjust hydraulic system: Streamlines the adjustment of contact pressure in press screw separators for optimised performance.
With the BlackBird Single and its advanced systems, Vogelsang continues to set the standard for precision and innovation in slurry management.
