It's hard to think of it as a classic ... but that's exactly what Merlo's original telehandler has become.

To mark Merlo UK’s 30th anniversary, the Italian manufacturer’s UK subsidiary recently acquired a classic model sold within its first year of UK operation.

Th 1993 Panoramic 60.10XS pictured was, at the time, the largest telescopic handler in the Merlo range and was sold in July, 1993, by North Yorkshire former Merlo dealer AM Handling to a local grain merchant.

Recently, the machine was located in the South-west of the UK where it had been performing offshore applications – as evidenced by the hefty lifting shackles it acquired along the way to transport the machine to and from boats.

A full restoration of the P60.10XS is currently underway with the goal of restoring this piece of Merlo UK’s history to its former glory. Regular updates will be posted across Merlo UK’s social media channels through the coming weeks.

The company intends to exhibit the restored machine at several of this year’s shows and exhibitions, so look out for it during this summer’s show season.
